LYDDEN is a small village, five miles N.W. of Dover, lathe of St. Augustine, East Kent. The population in 1851 was 231. The church is dedicated to St. Mary. The living is a vicarage, in the patronage of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Rev. Christian Borckhardt is the incumbent.
