Bear, Noak Hill

Also known as the Brown Bear; This pub is of late-17th century origin - now much enlarged. It was originally called the Goat and renamed the Bear in 1715. **

The Bear was well known in the 1960's  with it's own 'REAL' Bear kept in a small cage in the Beer Garden, plus many other smaller animals and birds, e.g. pheasants. ****
