My grandmother Mrs Harriet Francis moved to the Duke of Sussex sometime before 1932 after leaving her previous Pub at the Foresters in Arline Street, Shoreditch.

Harriet was the widow of Herbert Francis, listed as publican of the Coopers Arms, Rush Green 1908-1920

Harriet's family had links also to the Harrow, Rose Lane [Jermy family], and Crooked Billet, Padnal Corner, both in Chadwell Heath, Essex and also to the Duke of York and Volunteer in Barking, Essex.
